About the Role
At Cardiff Met, we're committed to delivering an outstanding student experience through excellent service, effective administration and high-quality student data. Registry Services sits at the heart of the University, supporting students throughout their academic journey and ensuring that the administrative processes, systems and records that underpin the student experience are accurate, efficient and compliant.
As a Registry Advisor (Student Lifecycle), you'll play a key leadership role within Registry Services, coordinating and supporting the delivery of student and academic administration across a range of activities throughout the student lifecycle. This fixed-term role has been created to provide essential operational capacity while the University delivers a major programme of transformation, including the replacement of its core student records system.
Leading a team of Registry administrators, you'll provide day-to-day supervision, guidance and support, helping to ensure services are delivered efficiently, accurately and in line with University regulations and service standards. You'll also contribute to service improvements, systems development and organisational change, helping to shape the future of Registry Services while maintaining excellent support for students and staff.
You'll Play a Key Role By
- Coordinating and supporting a team of Registry administrators, ensuring workloads, priorities and service standards are effectively managed.
- Providing specialist advice and guidance on student lifecycle processes, student records, policies, procedures and systems.
- Supporting student administration, assessment and award processes, ensuring compliance with University regulations and procedures.
- Monitoring the quality and integrity of student data and records, identifying issues and implementing corrective actions where required.
- Responding to and resolving complex enquiries from students, staff and external stakeholders, delivering excellent customer service.
- Supporting the implementation of new systems, processes and organisational change initiatives that enhance the student and staff experience.

We are recruiting to two vacancies, each based within a different area of Registry.
What You’ll Bring
You'll be an experienced administrator and team coordinator with a passion for delivering excellent service and supporting others to succeed. You'll be comfortable working in a complex environment, managing competing priorities and helping colleagues navigate policies, procedures and systems with confidence.
You'll combine strong organisational skills with excellent communication and problem-solving abilities, using data and information to support effective decision-making and continuous improvement. Most importantly, you'll share our commitment to supporting students and delivering high-quality services across the University.
Additionally, You'll Bring
- Experience of supervising or coordinating administrative staff within a complex organisational environment.
- Experience of maintaining and managing records within large information systems while ensuring data accuracy and integrity.
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to allocate workloads, manage competing priorities and meet operational deadlines.
- Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with a wide range of stakeholders.
- Strong IT and digital skills, including Microsoft Office applications and enterprise information systems.
- The ability to analyse and interpret data, resolve operational issues and contribute to service improvements and organisational change.

Experience of working within Higher Education, knowledge of Academic Registry functions, or experience using student records and assessment systems would be advantageous. Experience supporting system implementations or organisational transformation activities would also be beneficial.
