OVERVIEW:

Working across both established and emerging product categories, you'll keep up to date on changing regulations, provide expert guidance to cross-functional teams and help ensure our products meet global compliance requirements. Partnering with Product, Sustainability, Legal and Company Secretariat teams, you'll be at the heart of responsible innovation, supporting Gymshark's growth while helping us do business the right way.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:

Responsible for:

  • Supporting global regulatory compliance across markets, ensuring products, packaging, labelling and claims meet legal and regulatory requirements.
  • Interpreting and communicating regulatory requirements to stakeholders, providing practical business guidance and supporting understanding of evolving compliance expectations.
  • Reviewing product compliance, including labelling, sizing, product information and marketing claims.
  • Advising on product development, sustainability initiatives and consumer-facing claims to ensure compliance and reduce risk.
  • Conducting regulatory research and horizon scanning to identify emerging legislative, sustainability and market trends.
  • Monitoring regulatory developments and translating them into actionable business recommendations.
  • Delivering training and guidance to improve organisational understanding of compliance requirements.
  • Acting as a cross-functional business partner, supporting compliance investigations, customer complaints and continuous improvement activities.
  • Assisting legal team on investigations, claims and regulatory audits as necessary.

Accountable for:

  • Identifying and managing regulatory and sustainability risks impacting products, categories and markets.
  • Supporting the resolution of product compliance issues with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Influencing product development processes to ensure compliance and market readiness.
  • Assessing emerging regulatory and technical issues and recommending practical solutions aligned with business objectives.
  • Deputising for senior team members when required and supporting strategic projects.

WHAT YOU'LL NEED:

Essential Criteria:

Qualifications and Experience

  • Experience in regulatory affairs, product compliance, sustainability, quality, responsible sourcing or a related field, ideally within retail, consumer products, textiles or apparel.
  • Experience using compliance, sustainability, product stewardship or data management systems is advantageous.
  • Experience may have been gained within regulatory affairs, sustainability, product stewardship, responsible sourcing, quality or related compliance functions.
  • Able to work independently and apply sound judgement to complex issues.
  • Degree or equivalent qualification in law, science, engineering, sustainability, textiles, environmental management or a related discipline.

Technical Knowledge

  • Understanding of regulatory, sustainability and responsible sourcing requirements relevant to apparel, textiles and consumer products.
  • Knowledge of marketing claims, product information and compliance principles.
  • Understanding of complaint management and corrective action processes.

Skills

  • Ability to interpret complex requirements and translate them into practical business actions.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a risk-based mindset.
  • Experience monitoring emerging regulations, standards and sustainability initiatives.
  • Ability to review product information, labels and marketing claims for compliance.
  • Effective stakeholder management and communication skills.
  • Strong organisational skills, able to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
  • Confident in influencing decisions and driving compliance-focused outcomes.
  • Proactive, resilient and commercially aware.
  • Confident in use of AI tools.
  • Strong record keeping.

LOCATION:

Please note this is a hybrid role and requires the successful candidate to attend at least 3 days a week in GSIQ, Solihull, UK.
