Regulatory Affairs Industrial Placement
Reading, Berkshire, UK | Full-time | Hybrid
A global consumer health organisation is seeking Regulatory Affairs Industrial Placement students to gain hands-on experience across regulatory affairs, product development, claims, labelling and regulatory submissions. This is a 12-month placement starting June 2027, designed for university students looking to apply their academic knowledge in a practical business environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide regulatory input and technical guidance on local regulatory requirements to product development teams.
- Collaborate on cross-country regulatory projects and presentations across the EMEA region.
- Support the development of compliant and differentiated product claims.
- Assess the suitability of quality, preclinical and clinical documentation for regulatory submissions.
- Provide regulatory guidance on proposed product claims and labelling.
- Ensure clinical and non-clinical data support proposed product classifications and claims.
- Prepare and submit regulatory documentation in line with applicable requirements and guidelines.
- Monitor regulatory authority review processes and communicate with relevant Health Authorities.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of applicable local regulatory legislation.
- Support regulatory policy and advocacy activities under the guidance of the EMEA Regulatory Affairs leadership team.

Requirements
- Legally authorised to work in the UK.
- Currently enrolled at an accredited university throughout the placement, pursuing a Bachelor's, Master's or PhD degree.
- Studying on a course that allows participation in a 12-month industrial placement.
- Currently in the second year of study.
- Working towards a 2:1 degree classification.
- Available for 12 months, 37 hours per week, Monday to Friday, from June 2027.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Excel, PowerPoint, Word and Outlook.
- Ability to travel between home and the office location independently.

Preferred Qualifications
- Degree background in Pharmacy, Medicine or a relevant science discipline such as:
- Biology or Molecular Biology
- Chemistry
- Microbiology
- Neuroscience
- Consumer & Sensory Science
- Food Science
- Pharmacy
- Strong analytical, organisational and communication skills.
- Interest in the consumer products industry.
- Strong problem-solving skills and willingness to learn.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
