STADA UK Thornton & Ross – Regulatory Affairs Placement Student
Huddersfield | U.K. | Full-time | 12-month Fixed Term Contract
Commencing July 2027 | Salary £28,000
Step into the world of Regulatory Affairs and turn theory into real-world impact. On this year-long placement, you’ll help keep licensed medicines and everyday healthcare products safe, compliant and on the market – all while being fully trained from day one.
No regulatory experience? Perfect. This role is designed for curious students starting from scratch. You’ll be embedded in our Regulatory Affairs team, getting hands-on with day-to-day submissions, contributing to new and existing product projects, and seeing how products are managed throughout their lifecycle. Along the way, you’ll discover how different healthcare products are regulated and work with teams across the business to help bring compliant, trusted products to patients and consumers.
How You Will Make An Impact
- Get hands-on with real regulatory work on medicines and healthcare products, supporting submissions, registrations, packaging, artwork and product updates
- Play an active role in New and Existing Product Development projects, maintaining trackers and documentation and joining cross-functional project meetings
- Build a strong foundation in how different healthcare products are regulated, from marketing authorisations and product information to post-market activities and regulatory intelligence
- Work closely with R&D, Artwork, Vigilance, Quality, Supply Chain, Commercial and Marketing to see how Regulatory Affairs underpins safe, compliant products
- Contribute to lifecycle and compliance activities, from tracking safety and regulatory actions to supporting audits and suggesting simple process improvements
- Develop your professional work habits: organise your tasks, communicate clearly, follow procedures, protect confidentiality and collaborate respectfully across the business

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
