Regulatory Affairs Specialist – Biocides & Plant Protection Products

The Opportunity

A manufacturer of biocidal and crop protection products is adding a regulatory specialist to its team. You will be the go-to person for keeping the product range legally on the market in Great Britain, Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland. That means handling everything from new applications through to renewals, and keeping the business ahead of changing UK and EU rules.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Compliance as well as authorisation process for biocidal and crop protection products, from first application through to approval.
  • Compiling and submitting registration and renewal packages to regulatory bodies, and making sure each one is complete and technically sound.
  • Keeping track of EU active substance reviews and non-renewals, and working out what they mean for the product range and what alternatives exist.
  • Checking how hazard classification updates affect existing formulations and recommending changes where needed.
  • Signing off product labels, packaging artwork and marketing claims before release.
  • Acting as the regulatory link between technical, commercial and supply chain teams, as well as key customers, so launches run smoothly and existing approvals stay valid.
  • Tracking legislative developments as GB and EU frameworks move apart, and briefing the wider business on what needs to change.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
