The Role
As Regulatory Affairs Specialist, you will take ownership of a range of product compliance activities, including:
- Preparing, reviewing, and maintaining compliant Safety Data Sheets for formulated products, ensuring documentation remains accurate following formulation or regulatory changes.
- Carrying out product classification in line with EU CLP, GB CLP, and GHS requirements, including hazard classifications, signal words, H-statements, and P-statements.
- Managing Poison Centre Notifications and UFI codes, including preparation and submission of PCN dossiers and ensuring these remain current when formulations or classifications change.
- Reviewing and approving product labels, packaging, and artwork to ensure they meet relevant regulatory requirements across areas including CLP, detergents, claims, and environmental labelling.
- Assessing the regulatory impact of new product development, formulation changes, and raw material substitutions.
- Reviewing supplier SDS information and determining any resulting impact on finished products.
- Providing practical regulatory advice to internal stakeholders on labelling, pictograms, language requirements, recycling information, and other compliance considerations.
- Monitoring changes in legislation and regulatory requirements, identifying potential impact on existing and future product ranges.
- Supporting continuous improvement within the regulatory function, including SOP development, process improvements, and regulatory change projects.
- Helping maintain accurate regulatory records, technical documentation, and justification files to support both compliance and customer requirements.

About You
To be considered for this position, you will have:
- A minimum of 3 years’ experience within Regulatory Affairs.
- Strong practical knowledge of CLP/GHS classification.
- Hands-on experience writing and maintaining Safety Data Sheets.
- Experience using Lisam ExESS or a comparable SDS/regulatory software system.
- Previous responsibility for PCN submissions and UFI code management.
- Experience within chemicals, detergents, industrial products, or another manufacturing environment.
- The confidence to work cross-functionally and provide clear regulatory guidance to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Strong attention to detail, with the ability to manage changing regulatory requirements and multiple product priorities.
