About EARN
The European Advanced Recycling Network (EARN) simplifies Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) through comprehensive compliance management services for Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE), Batteries, Packaging and Textiles across Europe as well as the rest of the world.
Our expertise stems from over 20 years of experience in assisting manufacturers and importers (our clients) in meeting their Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) obligations for take-back, recycling, registration, and compliance data reporting. Furthermore, EARN's pan-European network of recycling partners ensures country-specific take-back and recycling of waste equipment and industrial batteries for manufacturers and importers alike.
Role Description
This is a remote role, full-time (although part-time hours would be considered for the right candidate) for an EPR Regulatory Compliance Consultant. You will be joining our team of over 30 knowledgeable professionals, spread across the UK and Germany.
You will be responsible for
- managing accounts for selected clients and liaising with them to ensure their EPR compliance needs are met
- gathering client regulatory compliance data in particular countries in Europe and rest of the world, including producer registration information and product put-on-market quantities
- registering clients as a producer in accordance with the EPR regulatory requirements in each country
- reporting periodic compliance data to regulatory authorities and Producer Responsibility Organisations (PROs)
- ensuring associated compliance fees are correctly invoiced to clients
- analysing regulations and maintaining up-to-date knowledge of EPR legal requirements
- sharing knowledge with colleagues on developments to EPR compliance issues in particular countries

This role requires strong written and oral communication abilities, good analytical skills (with a keen eye for detail) as well as having a great team player ethos.
Other Key Qualifications
- Compliance Management and Regulatory Compliance skills (ideally 1-2 years’ experience)
- Higher Education qualifications such as a Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Law, or a related field (Further Education qualifications would be considered when combined with suitable work experience)
- Experience in the field of EPR, recycling or waste management industry is considered a plus
- Ability to work independently and fully remotely

We can also offer a level of flexibility around your daily working hours (for example, we recognise that some individuals like to start work early and finish early!).
We offer a favourable salary, a discretionary bonus award, 30 days paid annual leave, private health cover and auto-enrolment to our company pension scheme (5% employer contribution).
Occasional travel within the UK or overseas (for example, to our office in Goslar, Germany) can also be expected.
