Regulatory Delivery Manager (Basel 3.1)

Contract Until March 2027

Location: London (Hybrid Working)
Salary: £703.22 p/d Umbrella

We are seeking an experienced Regulatory Delivery Manager to join a major global financial services organisation and play a key role in the delivery of a significant regulatory change programme. This is an opportunity to lead the implementation readiness and execution of new regulatory requirements associated with Basel 3.1, ensuring the business is fully prepared for upcoming regulatory changes. Working within a central global function, you will partner closely with Risk, Finance and Business stakeholders across multiple regions to drive understanding, readiness and successful implementation.

The Role

You will be responsible for coordinating the delivery of regulatory requirements across global Retail Banking functions, ensuring impacted teams understand their responsibilities and are prepared to meet regulatory expectations. Acting as a key link between regulatory subject matter experts and business stakeholders, you will help translate complex regulatory requirements into practical actions and implementation plans.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Leading implementation readiness activities for Basel 3.1 regulatory requirements.
  • Building understanding of regulatory changes and associated business and financial impacts.
  • Coordinating delivery across global and regional teams, ensuring alignment and consistency of approach.
  • Driving stakeholder engagement across Risk, Finance and Business functions.
  • Tracking programme progress, milestones, risks and dependencies.
  • Maintaining governance, regulatory documentation and implementation evidence.
  • Supporting teams through critical delivery phases to ensure successful execution and adoption.
  • Facilitating discussions with senior stakeholders and leadership teams.
  • Ensuring regulatory requirements are effectively understood, embedded and implemented across the organisation.

You will demonstrate:

  • Extensive experience delivering regulatory change and implementation programmes within the banking or financial services sector.
  • Strong knowledge of Basel 3.1, CRR and UK prudential regulatory requirements.
  • Understanding of RWA, EAD and capital calculation methodologies.
  • Experience working across Retail Banking, Credit Risk, Risk Management or Regulatory Change functions.
  • Proven ability to lead complex initiatives across multiple geographies and stakeholder groups.
  • Outstanding communication and influencing skills, with experience engaging senior leaders and executive stakeholders.
  • Ability to translate complex regulatory concepts into clear business requirements and actions.
  • Strong organisational skills with experience tracking delivery, governance and programme documentation.
  • A proactive, self-starting approach with excellent problem-solving and stakeholder management skills.
