About the Role

Help shape the financial decisions that support the future of our network.

As a Regulatory Finance Analyst, you'll be part of the team responsible for helping NGN navigate the financial frameworks that underpin the energy industry. Working closely with internal colleagues, Ofgem and other industry stakeholders, you'll provide the analysis and insight that supports business planning and decision-making.

You'll take an active role in Ofgem price reviews, working on financial modelling, scenario analysis and impact assessments to ensure we continue to deliver value for customers and investors. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone looking to build a career in finance, offering exposure to senior stakeholders, industry regulation and complex financial decision-making within a critical UK industry. If you enjoy working with data, solving complex problems and turning analysis into meaningful business insight, we'd love to hear from you.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the development of regulatory finance submissions, including contributions to NGN business plans and consultation responses.
  • Develop and maintain financial models, focusing on revenue calculation and financeability analysis.
  • Carry out scenario analysis, impact assessments and other quantitative analysis.
  • Help assess the financial impact of regulatory and industry changes on NGN.
  • Support regulatory reporting, management information and performance analysis.
  • Develop expertise in regulatory finance and price control frameworks to support colleagues across the business.
  • Participate in industry working groups and engage with external stakeholders when required.
  • Provide analytical and administrative support to the Regulatory Finance team.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
