Senior Regulatory Lawyer | 3-Month Contract | ASAP Start
A leading organisation in a highly regulated sector is seeking an experienced Regulatory Lawyer to support a major regulatory implementation programme and business readiness initiative.
This hands-on role will focus on helping the business prepare for a new regulatory framework, embedding governance structures, and ensuring ongoing compliance across the organisation.
Key Responsibilities
- Supporting the implementation of a new regulatory and licensing framework
- Reviewing and updating governance documents, policies, and procedures
- Advising on decision-making frameworks, delegations of authority, and regulatory obligations
- Translating complex regulatory requirements into practical business processes
- Delivering training and guidance to business stakeholders
- Acting as a key liaison between legal, business teams, and regulators
- Supporting ongoing compliance and regulatory readiness activities

About You
- Experienced lawyer with a strong background in regulatory compliance and implementation
- Experience working within regulated industries
- Proven ability to develop governance frameworks and operational processes
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
- Comfortable driving projects forward in a hands-on environment
- Experience dealing with regulators is highly desirable
- Energy, utilities, licensing, or Ofgem experience is beneficial but not essential

Contract Details
- Start Date: ASAP
- Duration: 3 months
- Working Pattern: 3-4 days per week
- IR35: All engagement models considered
