Job Purpose

This is a 12-month fixed-term contract.

The position is responsible for providing support and advice on customer requests. You will share with customers and colleagues around the world your knowledge of regulations and legislations applied to fragrance production and formulation.

Tasks and Responsibilities

Manage client(s):

  • Resolve requests and inquiries from external customers (or agencies).
  • Be responsible for ensuring that the department's service provided to customers is exceptional.
  • Follow up with customers/manufacturers of finished products/contract manufacturers to obtain technical information.

Manage compliance:

  • Confirm compliance of fragrances with legislative and customer requirements.

Manage database:

  • Maintain the database and files updated and organized, managing the relevant changes or updates and ensuring that the documents comply with the regulations at all times.

Support product review and development:

  • Review and approve fragrance formulations to ensure compliance with legislations.
  • Collaborate with R&D team to ensure new fragrances meet legislative requirements.

Participate and provide training:

  • Keep updated with the regulations and legislation in force.
  • Participate in internal and/or external trainings related to regulations, legislation, raw materials, etc.
  • Provide training to personnel when necessary.

Manage formulations:

  • Manage formula modifications when necessary to improve production efficiency and meet division palette requirements.
  • Coordinate regularly with perfumery, purchasing, regulatory, production planning and quality control to improve communication, efficiency and provide support to operations.
  • Produce required monthly local stock and FM information and distribute to appropriate global teams.

Manage systems:

  • Work with internal operating systems, to manage projects and administrative tasks, to be knowledgeable in the handling of software.

Others:

  • Comply with all company policies and procedures.
  • Understand and carry out the rules of good environmental and safety practices in the workplace; report any incidents proactively using the designated channels.
  • Actively participate in training and education offered by the company.
  • Perform additional and/or complementary functions assigned by the nature of the position and in compliance with the employment contract.
  • Show attitudes in accordance with the Company's Values (CPL Ingredients).

Skills and Attributes Required

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to solve problems quickly and effectively.
  • Time management skills and attention to detail.
  • Analytical thinking and project management skills.
  • Willingness to learn and go the extra mile.

Education:

  • Training in chemistry, pharmaceutics or equivalent.
  • Training related to fragrances or similar (desirable).

Professional experience:

  • Professional experience in a similar position (1-3 years).
  • Professional experience in the industrial manufacturing sector (desirable).

Other skills and requirements:

  • Familiar with EU cosmetics regulations (desirable).
  • Good computer skills - Microsoft Office.
