Are you looking to build a career in finance, data analysis, and regulatory reporting? If so, this could be the perfect opportunity for you. As a Regulatory Oversight Administrator, you'll join our Group FP&A Regulatory Oversight team and play an important role in supporting the reporting we provide to Ofwat, the economic regulator for the water industry. Working alongside experienced colleagues, you'll gain valuable exposure to regulatory reporting processes, business performance analysis, and the way operational and financial information helps shape key business decisions.
This is an excellent entry-level opportunity for someone who is curious, analytical, and eager to learn within a highly regulated environment. We'll support you in developing your technical skills, building confidence in working with stakeholders, and growing your understanding of finance, reporting, and regulation.
What you'll be doing
You'll support the delivery of important regulatory submissions, including the Annual Performance Report and quarterly forecasting activities, helping to ensure our reporting is accurate, consistent, and compliant.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Supporting the preparation of regulatory reports and submissions
- Gathering, validating, and analysing data from across the business
- Helping to monitor key regulatory performance measures and milestones
- Producing reports and insights that support decision-making
- Comparing business performance against industry benchmarks
- Assisting with the preparation of internal and external reporting materials
- Supporting the maintenance and continuous improvement of reporting processes and tools
- Tracking risks, issues, actions, and dependencies relating to regulatory reporting
- Working closely with colleagues across Finance, Operations, and Compliance to gather information and share insights
- Helping deliver regular reporting and engagement activities with Ofwat, including the Annual Performance Report, quarterly ODI forecasts, AMP8 Delivery Plan updates, and enhanced engagement meetings
- Monitoring and maintaining mailboxes and regulatory correspondence

HOW WE WORK
You'll be based at our Severn Trent Centre in Coventry. With this being such a critical role, we’re looking for someone who can join us 37 hours a week.

So, you'll usually find us in the office, but working from home is supported, when you need it.
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
We're looking for someone who is enthusiastic about working with data, enjoys solving problems, and is keen to develop a career in a finance or regulatory environment.
You'll ideally be able to demonstrate:
- Strong analytical and data interpretation skills
- Good organisation and time management skills, with the ability to meet deadlines
- An interest in regulated industries and the role of economic regulation
- The ability to present information clearly in written reports and documents
- Excellent attention to detail
- A collaborative approach and willingness to work with others to find solutions
- The ability to learn from experience and help improve processes
- Confidence working independently and managing priorities effectively

Qualifications
We're open to candidates from a range of backgrounds. You may have:
- A degree in Economics, Business Studies, or a related discipline; or
- Relevant experience working within a regulated utility or similar industry.
