Our Financial Services consultancy supports organisations navigating regulatory scrutiny, large-scale remediation activity, financial crime transformation, control enhancement programmes, and regulatory change initiatives.

Regulatory Readiness Lead

Our client is a global organisation operating across 50 countries with over 20,000 employees.

We are seeking an experienced Regulatory Readiness Lead to manage the organisation's preparation for a significant upcoming regulatory visit. This is a consulting assignment where you will coordinate the end-to-end readiness programme, ensuring the business is fully prepared to engage confidently, consistently, and credibly with regulators.

What you'll do

  • Lead the end-to-end planning and delivery of the regulatory visit readiness programme, developing and driving a detailed project plan, milestones and governance.
  • Coordinate stakeholders across Risk, Compliance, Legal, Finance and Operations to ensure all regulatory requests are understood, owned and delivered on time.
  • Prepare executive leadership for meetings with regulators through tailored briefings, anticipated questions, key messages and supporting materials.
  • Develop and quality assure evidence packs, presentations, Q&A documents and supporting documentation, ensuring consistency, accuracy and traceability.
  • Facilitate readiness workshops, rehearsal sessions and mock interviews with senior leaders and subject matter experts.
  • Identify, track and manage risks, issues and actions throughout the preparation phase, providing regular progress updates to programme sponsors.
  • Coordinate logistics and governance during the regulatory visit, managing follow-up actions and ensuring timely responses to any additional requests.
  • Deliver an honest assessment of organisational readiness and recommend practical actions to address any remaining gaps before the visit.

What we're looking for

  • Proven programme or project management experience delivering complex, cross-functional regulatory readiness initiatives within large organisations.
  • Hands-on experience preparing organisations for regulatory visits, supervisory reviews or regulatory enquiries.
  • Experience working with UK regulators, particularly the FCA, is advantageous.
  • Experience supporting organisations through HMRC visits or enquiries would be highly desirable.
  • Strong ability to interpret regulatory expectations and translate them into practical delivery plans, executive briefings and supporting documentation.
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills, with the confidence to engage senior executives and challenge constructively where required.
  • Outstanding written communication skills, including experience producing executive briefings, Q&A packs, playbooks and evidence repositories.
  • Knowledge of governance, risk and controls, financial crime compliance or conduct risk would be beneficial.
