Regulatory Reporting Accountant

A leading financial institution in London is seeking a Regulatory Reporting Accountant to join their Finance team. This role offers an exciting opportunity for you to play a pivotal part in the production and delivery of regulatory reports at both bank and consolidated levels, ensuring compliance with domestic regulators and supporting the parent bank.

What you'll do:

  • Prepare and deliver regulatory reports at both Bank-only and Consolidated levels using data collected from core banking systems and group company sources according to the regulatory timetable.
  • Contribute to the maintenance of technical documentation supporting regulatory interpretations and judgements, ensuring clarity and accuracy throughout.
  • Maintain effective relationships with key stakeholders such as the wider Finance team, Prudential Risk, Treasury, Credit, IT, and Mortgage Operations by sharing information openly and co-operatively.
  • Present regulatory returns to senior management for review and constructive feedback, ensuring all submissions meet internal standards before external submission.
  • Perform source data reconciliations diligently, resolving identified breaks promptly to ensure data integrity across all returns.
  • Maintain key control checks across regulatory returns, regularly reviewing their appropriateness and addressing any discrepancies or issues as they arise.
  • Ensure process playbooks remain current and are followed rigorously with clear evidence of four-eyes reviews for quality assurance.
  • Monitor compliance with external risk limits as well as internal management actions and KRI triggers, providing timely updates to relevant stakeholders.
  • Manage change effectively within the regulatory function by communicating necessary process or procedure changes to the business in a timely manner.
  • Document operational processes related to regulatory reporting software thoroughly, adhering strictly to established flows and procedures.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
