JSS is partnered with a global retail bank that is partway through implementing a new regulatory reporting platform and is building out its COREP and FINREP capability ahead of the Basel 3.1 deadline in January.
They need a hands-on Regulatory Reporting Analyst to help map data into the new system and make sure what comes out the other end is right. This is very much a doing role rather than an oversight one, someone comfortable getting into the detail of returns and templates, not just reviewing them.
Responsibilities
- Supporting the build and roll-out of the bank's new regulatory reporting system, working closely with the change and implementation team.
- Helping map source data into the new platform for COREP and FINREP submissions.
- Sense-checking data as it flows into COREP and FINREP templates, catching issues before they become reporting problems.
- Taking a hands-on role in preparing and submitting capital returns, with COREP as the main focus area.
- Picking up more liquidity reporting involvement as that side of the book grows over the next year.
- Keeping reporting aligned to current regulatory interpretation, particularly as Basel 3.1 requirements land.
- Contributing to capital disclosures, including Pillar 3.
- Investigating data quality issues at source and strengthening the controls around them.
- Flagging opportunities to automate repetitive parts of the reporting process as the new system beds in.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
