Regulatory Reporting Officer
Location: London (50% onsite)
Contract: 12 Months

Overview
We are seeking an experienced SFTR Regulatory Reporting Specialist to join a leading investment banking environment in London. This is a senior VP-level position requiring deep expertise in Securities Financing Transactions Regulation (SFTR), with a particular focus on transaction and collateral reporting, regulatory engagement, investigation management, and driving remediation programmes across business and technology teams.
The successful candidate will act as the SME for SFTR, operating at the intersection of Front Office, Operations, Compliance, and Technology to ensure regulatory reporting obligations are met, reporting issues are investigated and resolved, and regulatory expectations are effectively managed.
This position is comparable to a senior EMIR Regulatory Reporting SME role, but with a dedicated focus on SFTR. Experience similar to individuals operating in a lead regulatory reporting capacity, such as the EMIR-focused responsibilities undertaken by Keshu Modhwadia, would be highly relevant.
Key Responsibilities
SFTR Subject Matter Expertise
- Act as the firm's lead SME for SFTR transaction and collateral reporting.
- Interpret regulatory requirements and assess impacts across reporting processes, controls, and technology platforms.
- Provide expert guidance to business, operations, compliance, and technology stakeholders on SFTR obligations.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
