Regulatory Solicitor – Nottingham – Up to £65,000

A well-established UK law firm is looking to recruit a Regulatory Solicitor to join its growing specialist team in Nottingham. This is an excellent opportunity for a solicitor with experience in regulatory, public inquiry, inquest, or related litigation work to join a supportive and expanding team.

The successful candidate will work on complex and sensitive matters for a range of public and private sector clients, with opportunities to take responsibility for their own work while receiving appropriate support and development.

The role offers exposure to high-profile matters, client-facing work, and the opportunity to contribute to the continued growth of the wider regulatory practice.

The Role:

  • Assist with complex public inquiry and regulatory matters on behalf of clients
  • Support clients with their obligations and responsibilities during formal investigations and inquiries
  • Assist with the preparation and coordination of responses to formal information and evidence requests
  • Support on complex and sensitive inquest matters
  • Take instructions from senior individuals and assist with the preparation of detailed witness statements
  • Review and analyse large volumes of documentation and identify key information efficiently
  • Advise on document disclosure and information management requirements
  • Conduct legal research and provide clear and practical advice to clients
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues across the wider regulatory and compliance practice
  • Manage competing priorities while ensuring work is completed accurately and within agreed deadlines
  • Contribute to client relationships, business development, and the continued growth of the team

About You:

  • A Qualified Solicitor with experience in regulatory, public inquiry, inquest, compliance, or related litigation work
  • Experience dealing with complex documentation and evidence
  • Strong drafting skills, including experience preparing or assisting with witness statements
  • Confident taking instructions from senior individuals and communicating with clients
  • Excellent analytical and organisational skills with strong attention to detail
  • Able to assimilate and understand complex information quickly
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Comfortable working independently while contributing effectively as part of a wider team
  • Confident using Microsoft Office and legal case management systems
  • Willing to contribute to business development and client-facing activities
