An Exciting Opportunity for a Rehab Support Worker
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Rehab Support Worker to join our Community Rehabilitation Team (CRT) in the Kirkcaldy Locality.
About the Role
The CRT provides rehabilitation to the adult population within the locality. This will be delivered to service users as out-patients or within their own home.
The primary function of this role will be to work with the Occupational Therapy, Physiotherapy & Nursing Services within Intermediate Care to deliver therapeutic treatment programmes to service users in their own homes, preventing hospital admission and supporting early discharge from hospital. Occupational Therapists, Physiotherapists & Nurses will provide specialist assessments to this patient group and allocate work to this post holder. This post will primarily deal with the function of daily rehab in the community, a service provided 365 days of the year from 0745-2200.

- Work with Occupational Therapy, Physiotherapy & Nursing Services within Intermediate Care
- Deliver therapeutic treatment programmes in the community

- Carry out ongoing treatment programmes for a mixed caseload of mainly older people
Requirements
- SVQ Level III in Health and Social Care or equivalent
- Experience working as a support worker (desirable)
- Experience working with older people (desirable)
- Good organisational skills
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
Working Conditions
- Flexibility to work 24.7 hours over 7 days
- Occasional work at other community hospital sites
- Ability to travel throughout the area
