Make a real difference in your community

At Sight Support Derbyshire, we support blind and partially sighted people across Derbyshire to live as independently, confidently, and safely as possible.

As a Rehabilitation Support Worker, you will provide practical, person-centred support including advice, demonstrating simple aids and equipment, and signposting to other services where needed.

This is a varied and rewarding role for someone who communicates well, listens carefully, and works respectfully with people. Experience of supporting people with sight loss is welcome, but not essential, as full training and ongoing support will be provided.

What you’ll do

  • Visit blind and partially sighted people in their homes to understand what practical advice, equipment or signposting may help
  • Demonstrate and provide simple aids and equipment
  • Offer clear, practical advice about using equipment safely and confidently at home
  • Provide information and signposting to other Sight Support Derbyshire services or external support where appropriate
  • Keep accurate records of visits, equipment provided and any onward referrals or follow-up needed

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
