We are looking for a Rehabilitation Support Worker to join Skylark, our 30 bedded rehabilitation Unit in Yate. You will benefit from the expertise of Physiotherapists and Occupational Therapists, while working as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
In post, you will be supporting the therapy team through managing our service users who have been recently discharged from an acute hospital setting and are undertaking a period of assessment and rehabilitation.
Our goal is to ensure our service users and their families have the best experience being supported by us through excellent communication and initiative.

- Promote optimum independence through encouraging rehabilitation techniques.
- As a rehab support worker you will be a key figure in completing the day to day rehabilitation with patients under the instruction of the lead therapists.
- You will be required to provide feedback on the service users’ progress and help to ensure that the service users achieve their maximum potential.
- Undertake a range of delegated clinical and therapy led activities to support the service users on the caseload.
- To provide safe, patient centred, effective and evidence-based clinical activities.
- The post holder will work under direct supervision and be responsible to senior therapists providing one to one and group rehabilitation.
- You will work within the Adult Service to deliver a full range of health and social care activities, both acute and long term, supported by a robust competency framework to adults within the complex assessment beds.
- You will be part of an integrated multi-disciplinary team (MDT), which includes nurses, physiotherapists, occupational therapists and other Allied Healthcare Professionals.

The Service operational Hours are between 08:00 and 18:00 (flexible working can be discussed) with future possibility for weekend cover.
