Reinsurance Actuary – BPA & Longevity
London | Permanent | Qualified Actuary
Oliver James are exclusively representing a leading UK insurer on a Reinsurance Actuary opportunity within its growing BPA team.
This is a transaction-focused role for a Qualified Actuary with longevity pricing experience who wants exposure to the full reinsurance lifecycle – from analysis and pricing through to structuring, negotiation and execution.
The Opportunity
You’ll work across a broad range of BPA reinsurance activity, including:
- Pension Risk Transfer (PRT)
- Longevity swaps
- Funded reinsurance
- Back-book transactions
- Longevity pricing and experience analysis

The role is technically focused, with a commercial element. You’ll work directly with reinsurers and alongside senior stakeholders, gaining exposure to live transactions.
What We’re Looking For
- Qualified Actuary with up to 5 years PQE
- Strong longevity pricing experience
- Strong technical and analytical capability
- Experience with cashflow modelling and large datasets
- BPA/PRT or wider reinsurance exposure is highly relevant
- Programming or coding experience is a useful additional skill
