Caribbean Property Reinsurance (Facultative) Team at Marsh Re

We are seeking a talented individual to join our Caribbean Property Reinsurance (Facultative) team at Marsh Re. This role will be based in London.


About the Role

We are hiring an individual with experience or a strong interest in Caribbean Property Reinsurance (Facultative) to join our growing Caribbean team, being developed in partnership with our colleagues in Marsh Re (Miami). This role will support the shaping and delivery of the Caribbean Property Facultative Reinsurance product line, partnering with colleagues on growth planning and supporting sales and placement activity in collaboration with local offices and key stakeholders.


Responsibilities

  • Support stakeholders in executing growth plans for Caribbean Property Facultative Reinsurance and help identify opportunities for development.
  • Assist in coordinating internal preparation ahead of renewal and client strategy meetings, including gathering key information and contributing to materials.
  • Support facultative placement activity by helping manage submissions, market engagement, and documentation, escalating more complex matters as needed.
  • Review exposures and loss experience, analyse risk information, and support the development of placement/broking plans aligned to client needs (including internal approvals where required).
  • Help evaluate quotes and prepare clear summaries and recommendations for brokers, clients, and carrier partners, supporting client/prospect meetings as appropriate.

Requirements

  • Experience in Property Facultative Reinsurance broking or underwriting (Caribbean experience preferred).
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to build effective relationships with stakeholders and clients; collaborative, solution-focused, and able to manage priorities.
  • Proficiency in preparing clear, accurate placement documentation and presentations, with strong attention to detail.
