Reinsurance Broker Support Apprenticeship Programme

Howden Re is the reinsurance division of Howden, working with insurance companies around the world to help them manage complex risks. Behind every client insurance solution is a team of people ensuring information is accurate, processes run smoothly and clients receive an excellent service.

While brokers work with clients and the insurance market, Broker Support & Operations teams help make sure everything runs smoothly behind the scenes. From preparing documentation and maintaining accurate records to supporting reporting, coordinating information and helping teams meet important deadlines, we play a vital role in the success of the business. Without these teams, the business couldn't operate effectively or deliver the high level of service our clients expect.

This is a varied role that offers exposure to many different areas of the business, making it an ideal starting point for someone who is interested in business operations, insurance and long-term career development.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
