Reinsurance Cash & Payments Analyst
12 Month Fixed-Term Contract (Maternity Cover)
Location: London
Hybrid role: 2 days a week on site/ 3 from home
About the Role
We are seeking a Reinsurance Cash & Payments Analyst to join our Reinsurance Asset Management team on a 12-month fixed-term maternity cover contract.
This is an excellent opportunity for an individual with insurance, reinsurance, finance, or cash management experience to join a busy and collaborative team responsible for the accurate processing, allocation, and reconciliation of reinsurance cash flows.
Working closely with Finance, Claims, Underwriting, Operations, and external brokers, you will play a key role in ensuring the timely and accurate management of payments, allocations, reconciliations, and reporting activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Reconcile broker statements and contracts to the ledger.
- Accurately post and allocate daily cash using internal systems and Microsoft Excel.
- Process outgoing payments and investigate payment queries.
- Perform reconciliations to support financial and operational reporting.
- Assist with month-end and quarter-end reporting requirements.
- Build and maintain effective working relationships with internal stakeholders and external partners.
- Support the development and maintenance of process documentation and procedure manuals.
- Attend and contribute to team meetings and operational discussions.
- Ensure activities are completed in accordance with internal controls, policies, and regulatory requirements.
- Assist with ad hoc projects and team initiatives as required.

Skills & Experience
Essential
- Previous experience in insurance, reinsurance, finance, banking, or a related operational environment.
- Strong reconciliation and data analysis skills.
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and Word.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Effective communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to work independently while contributing positively to a team environment.
- Interest in using new technologies and AI-enabled tools to improve efficiency.

Desirable
- Experience within the London Market or Lloyd's insurance market.
- Reinsurance operations, settlements, cash management, or finance experience.
- Knowledge of broker accounting and cash allocation processes.
