Relationship Fundraising Executive - Sports

Salary: £25,805.57 per annum.

Location: Homebased. (must be based in the UK).

Contract: Fixed Term Contract for 12 months – Full-Time 35 hours per week.

A bit about the role

You'll help deliver some of Action for Children's most exciting challenge events, supporting hundreds of passionate supporters as they take on incredible fundraising challenges, from the Great North Run to our bespoke treks, raising vital funds for vulnerable children, young people and families across the UK.

We're looking for an experienced and passionate fundraiser to join Action for Children at an exciting time of growth. As we continue to expand our challenge events programme, we're investing in additional fundraising capacity to help us recruit, inspire and support more participants than ever before.

This role offers a unique opportunity to play a key part in delivering a growing portfolio of challenge events that generates significant income while creating unforgettable experiences for our supporters.

The opportunity

You'll manage and steward a large portfolio of challenge event participants, helping them maximize their fundraising potential and delivering an exceptional supporter journey from registration through to event day and beyond.

Working closely with fundraising, supporter care, and marketing colleagues, you'll build meaningful relationships with supporters, provide tailored fundraising advice and encouragement, and create memorable experiences that inspire long-term support for Action for Children.

As part of an ambitious and growing team, you'll contribute to the development of our wider challenge events portfolio, identifying opportunities to improve supporter experience, increase fundraising income and grow participation across a range of events. Our portfolio includes flagship events such as the Great North Run, Royal Parks Half Marathon and a growing range of bespoke treks and challenge events.

About you

We're looking for someone who combines excellent relationship-building skills with strong organizational ability and a genuine passion for supporter experience.

You may currently work in fundraising, events, customer service, sales, account management, or supporter engagement. Whatever your background, you'll be comfortable managing multiple priorities, building rapport with a wide range of people and motivating others to achieve ambitious fundraising targets.

Most importantly, you'll be enthusiastic, proactive and excited by the opportunity to play a key role in one of Action for Children's most important fundraising growth areas.
