We are hiring for a Commercial Real Estate Relationship Manager-Business Banking role at an International bank based in Manchester.

About The Role
As a Relationship Manager-Business Banking
You are entrusted with the vital responsibility of making the Bank a preferred bank in the micro-market around your business area; Build a portfolio of business banking customers in the catchment and acquire new business banking customers for business current, savings accounts and term deposits, Foreign Exchange and Treasury Solutions. Responsible for Trade Finance including bills under collection, letter of credits, bank guarantees, SBLCs.
Your responsibilities include Driving a 360 client coverage approach to cover all ecosystems and enhance contribution to ecosystem income through collaboration with retail banking team specifically private banking and salary relation team along with collaboration with business teams across geographies wherever the Bank is present;
You are expected to be self-motivated and have a problem solving approach. The role entails execution of tasks with speed and accuracy which will also require interpersonal effectiveness and enhanced collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Responsible for consolidating and growing the payments, deposit and remittance business from the acquired and existing portfolio of customers;
- Generate referrals for commercial real estate lending as well as for personal banking products;
- Ensure that the portfolio of customers is operationally profitable in line with the strategic goal of the bank;
- Build NR book for the bank;
- Undertake a comprehensive 360-degree assessment of customers' needs and guide the team to offer relevant banking solutions;
- Driving the portfolio growth and profitability for the Bank;
- Maintain and update client relationship database, CRS, and monthly performance MIS and performance dashboards;
- To facilitate /complete customer onboarding (KYC, due diligence etc.), internal risk clearance and committee approvals, as and when required;
- Regular monitoring of existing client relationships;
- Periodic collaboration / review call with global team to ensure complete 360 coverage of clients;
- To undertake the projects and the assignments from time to time as directed by the Supervisor;
- Support and/or prepare credit appraisal notes within specified turnaround time. This shall involve the following:
- Acquire good quality business banking customers across the below identified segments in your catchment areas (as defined by the bank):
- Exporters and importers
- High value local businesses (high value to be defined by the bank from time to time)

- Generate leads through research, developing connections with various market participants and develop a database of prospective clients, segmented by size of business.
- Research the client and sector to identify possible client needs and solutions ICICI Bank can offer.
- Look at setting up meetings for you and more senior colleagues.
- Build and execute a tactical plan to achieve the budgeted objectives of new customer acquisitions, income generation.
- Work diligently on the client-level data provided centrally, by meeting the clients.
- Daily client engagements (including face-to-face and telephonic meetings) to be done per thresholds defined by the reporting authority.
- Active participation in community events, industry forums to generate new business opportunities.
- Furnish daily business information to the reporting authority.
- Record and report all client engagements to the reporting authority on a daily basis in a manner asked for by the reporting authority.
- Liaise with the internal stakeholders, introducers and existing customers to originate referrals for new customer acquisition.
- Manage existing customer relationships to cross sell/up sell business banking products generating fee and interest income.
- Use effective marketing and sales promotional tools for raising the bank's profile in the target segment, which ultimately result in opening new business opportunities for the bank.
- Regular monitoring of accounts, timely flagging & communicating with clients or operations or compliance as required.
- Facilitate competitor, market and customer intelligence to various Bank's stakeholders.
- Plot the market opportunity and work towards increasing the bank's market share in the identified segments.
- Processing of all documentation for onboarding and servicing of customers in line with the processes defined by the bank.
- Liaise with the base branch/branches to ensure high levels of servicing to the clients.
- Manage client expectations and escalations by liaising with various internal departments.
- Undergo all the mandatory learning modules.
- Understand and comply with the Bank's policies and procedures, especially Conduct risk, customer profiling, risk assessment, know your customer, anti-money laundering policies and procedures of the Bank.
- Assist in designing, reviewing and enhancing products and policies in line with the strategic business objectives.
- To undertake projects and assignments from time to time as required by the Bank.
- Cross sell NR and UK personal banking solutions.
- Act as a lead channel for private banking.
- Growth mindset.
- To complete due diligence, internal risk clearance and committee approvals of the credit note.
- Regular monitoring of existing clients.
- Preparation of Asset Review, waiver requests, etc.
- Drive facility documentation and setup in collaboration with legal/operations teams and maintain physical and electronic documentation of all proposal-related information.
- Customer onboarding, KYC, etc.
- To undertake projects and assignments from time to time as directed by Supervisor.
- 360-degree customer focus.
- Undertake a comprehensive 360-degree assessment of customers' needs and guide the team to offer relevant banking solutions.
