Relationship Manager - Business Banking Relationships
Location: Birmingham
Salary: Competitive package available
Hours: Full Time
Working Pattern: Our work style is hybrid, which involves spending at least two days per week, or 40% of our time, at one of our office sites.
About this opportunity
We have an exciting opportunity to join our newly formed Business Banking Relationship Team. We provide outstanding support for businesses within the Business Banking sector and we're passionate about looking after our customers.
The Business Banking Relationships team is focused on deepening existing relationships with High Value Business Banking clients through a new pooled RM model, supporting BCB's ambitions to become the best bank for businesses by providing proactive relationship management to more complex Business Banking clients with their growth ambitions.
As a Specialist Manager, you will be responsible for delivering a first-class experience to a pooled set of clients ensuring we retain business, rebuild trust, support their business ambitions and proactively offer support through bringing the whole bank to clients, whilst maintaining strong risk disciplines.
What will you be doing?
- Complex Lending from Term Loans to Working Capital Solutions such as Invoice Finance, Hire Purchase and Trade
- Seeking to retain and grow customer deposits.
- We have an expectation to grow the portfolio through bringing more of the bank's proposition to your existing clients
- Maintain a robust and bespoke contact strategy with your clients.
- You'll be an ambassador for change, an early adopter of tools designed to improve the client and colleague experience and support your wider team and function to work towards their goals.

- Client retention - Highly proficient at building and maintaining productive relationships with clients, always maintains excellent professional standards using tools available to support ownership of journeys and follow up with clients.
- Specialist knowledge - Uses specialist credit and sector knowledge, along with all available digital tools, to deliver excellent client experiences. Identifying ways to grow income, balance sheet and market share.
- People - Have a growth mindset and be keen to adopt and use key enablers that enhance the client experience and demonstrate the value a Pooled Relationship Manager brings to a client's business.
- Risk management - You'll demonstrate strong risk management skills, requiring attention to detail and a proactive approach to anticipating potential risks.
