Overview

We are recruiting for a Relationship Manager to join our team in MUFG Corporate Markets supporting Share Plans. Our dedicated RM team provide a single point of contact for each client. As an RM, you will be responsible for proactively managing a portfolio of clients, ensuring that the highest standards of service and customer care are delivered, whilst analysing your portfolio and identifying divisional sales opportunities. This is a demanding but is extremely rewarding role.

The role is based on a hybrid basis from our central London office, which means you’ll need to be within a commutable distance to enable you to be in the office with your colleagues each week.

What you need

As with any role, we want to find the right person and we want to make sure you know it’s the right role for you too. You will need:

  • Demonstrable experience in the Share Plans industry, with other relevant Financial Services/Employee Benefits experience advantageous
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to remain diplomatic and tactful, handling all client enquiries, including complaints, in a professional manner
  • Energy, resilience and a customer-focused attitude with experience in a client/customer-facing role and excellent commercial awareness to enable you to understand client requirements
  • An ability to prioritise your own workload and work to tight deadlines whilst remaining flexible in your approach
  • The ability to apply critical and commercial thinking to help achieve solutions to complex problems
  • Excellent Microsoft Office Skills, especially Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook, with SalesForce knowledge advantageous
  • Good stakeholder management skills with the ability to build, develop and maintain great working relationships with a variety of internal and external customers, clients and colleagues
  • Great attention to detail with a conscientious, thorough and accurate approach to work and the ability to take a task, own it and see it through to completion
  • The ability to undertake both client-focused and financial analysis to help achieve growth targets, enabling sales opportunities to grow revenue
  • A professional and friendly manner with the ability to think critically and collaboratively to help achieve solutions, with good problem-solving skills

Day to Day

  • Increase revenue through the analysis of clients, identify and promote cross-selling opportunities and new MUFG Pension & Market Services products and services, including upselling of share plan products
  • Develop and maintain effective business relationships with clients and their associated third parties, such as lawyers, brokers and auditors
  • Proactively manage client relationships within the share plans world, ensuring client agreements are actively renewed
  • Work across the business to monitor and uphold service provision in line with the governance framework and service levels
  • Engage with clients in the roll-out of MUFG Pension & Market Services initiatives
  • Contribute to the continual identification and implementation of operations, procedural and cost-saving efficiencies and processes
  • Provide support to the Business Development and Marketing Teams using contacts to drive switch business and engage with existing clients to support case studies, industry surveys and client events
  • Provide support for the development and coaching of Client Service Managers/Assistant Relationship Managers
  • Adhere to regulatory requirements, such as Anti-Money Laundering and Customer Due Diligence oversight
  • Represent and contribute to industry-related events, such as Proshare and GEO
  • Take responsibility for the negotiation and billing of clients, ensuring they are charged in-line with agreed fees and providing assistance for secure payments from clients with overdue invoices to be made
