About this opportunity
Would you like to work within Commercial Banking Coverage and help Healthcare businesses of all types and sizes to prosper by offering the funding, support and reassurance they need to grow?
An opportunity exists for a Relationship Manager to join our Healthcare Direct Relationship Management team. You will have a national portfolio of approximately 140 Healthcare clients across a range of healthcare sectors where turnover is circa £3m or less. As we are a Direct channel, our client meetings are conducted via Microsoft Teams, therefore it is not a requirement to travel to see clients, but opportunities may arise for attendance at professional meetings or events.
The role is built on a real passion for putting customers first. If you share our passion and recognise the importance of making a difference together, look no further. The client is at the heart of all we do and will be expected to deliver excellent service whilst identifying solutions and strategies to help the clients business prosper. Together we make it possible.
What will you be doing?
You will be responsible for supporting clients with all their banking needs including lending, deposits and a wide range of other services. There is an expectation to see growth in the portfolio through becoming the go-to banking professional for your clients.
Typically, you would be involved with the following:
- Providing excellent service to our clients, putting them at the heart of what you do, adding value at every interaction and becoming a “trusted advisor”.
- Working closely with the Healthcare Intermediaries team to support a high volume of broker-led lending opportunities, liaising with professional advisers and managing deals through to completion alongside delivery of individual Benchmarks.
- Providing a range of funding solutions to our clients from our Term Lending and Working Capital product range tailoring them to Client needs.
- Building relationships with Group Partner companies and through them bring the whole bank to the client delivering products to meet their needs.
- Handling the risk and compliance of your client portfolio.
- Active engagement in Sector knowledge and developing your own capability.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
