Relationship Manager
We are looking for a Relationship Manager to join the Personal Advice Desk (PAD). The ideal candidate must have excellent telephone communication skills and be able to troubleshoot and process work in a timely and efficient manner, co-ordinating client requirements with advisers and client support.
PAD is a dedicated team within Saltus Financial Planning, responsible for delivering our Select proposition - a fully operational, remote advice service tailored to clients with investable assets typically under £250,000. These clients are comfortable with a non-face-to-face advice model, which is delivered through telephone and video meetings.
PAD is structured around two core functions: Relationship Management and Advice. Relationship Managers maintain ongoing relationships with Select clients, acting as their primary point of contact and conducting annual reviews. Where advice needs arise from these interactions, they are referred to the Advice team. This team is primarily made up of trainee advisers, and PAD serves as a development platform for them to complete their Stage 1 and Stage 2 Competent Adviser Status (CAS) assessments. Once qualified, advisers may continue within PAD or transition to the Premier team, managing their own client bank as required by business demand.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
