Relationship Manager – Private Banking

Location: London
Type: On-Site
Contract: Permanent | Full-Time

We are working with an established international bank that is looking to appoint an experienced Relationship Manager to join its Private Banking team in London.

This is a client-facing role focused on managing and developing relationships with High-Net-Worth (HNW) and international/non-resident clients. The successful candidate will take ownership of an existing portfolio while actively developing new relationships and identifying opportunities to grow the Bank's business.

A key element of the position will be understanding clients' financing requirements, with particular relevance to residential and investment property, mortgages and property-backed lending.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and develop a portfolio of HNW and international/non-resident clients, acting as their primary point of contact.
  • Build strong, long-term relationships and develop a detailed understanding of clients' financial requirements.
  • Proactively acquire new clients through networking, referrals and business development activity.
  • Identify opportunities to increase deposits, assets and overall client revenue.
  • Support clients with mortgage, real estate and property-backed lending requirements, working with internal Credit teams throughout the lending process.
  • Cross-sell relevant products including mortgages, lending, deposits, FX and transactional banking.
  • Conduct regular client meetings and relationship visits, including international travel where required.
  • Work closely with internal teams including Treasury, Credit, Operations and Compliance to deliver a high standard of service.
  • Maintain accurate client documentation and ensure periodic reviews are completed appropriately.
  • Ensure all relationships are managed in accordance with KYC, CDD, AML and regulatory requirements.
  • Monitor client activity and identify and escalate potential compliance or financial crime concerns where appropriate.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
