DeepRec.ai
DeepRec.ai is a recruiting firm that places top AI and deep tech talent. We are hiring a Relationship & Partnership Manager to build strong ties with leading venture capital firms.
This is not a normal sales job. You will not be selling to one company at a time. Instead, you will build long-term partnerships with VC firms. Each strong partnership can open the door to many portfolio companies at once.
Your goal is to make DeepRec the go-to recruiting partner that VCs recommend to their founders.
What You Will Do
- Build and manage relationships with a set of VC firms, focusing on their talent and platform teams (not just the investment partners).
- Get DeepRec added to each firm's list of trusted partners for their portfolio companies.
- Track new deals and funding rounds so you know when a VC backs a new company. Be the first recruiter that founder hears from.
- Turn warm introductions from VCs into real hiring projects, then hand them to our delivery and recruiting team.
- Give VCs useful things for free, like talent market maps, salary benchmarks, and hiring guides they can share with their founders.
- Join or speak at events run for portfolio companies, such as founder offsites or hiring workshops.
- Explore paid deals with VC firms, such as a fee to support hiring across their whole portfolio.
- Work closely with our advisory board plans, helping turn existing warm into active partnerships.
- Report on your progress: which firms you're working with, what deals came from those relationships, and how fast you turn a new investment into a client conversation.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.
Start with a chat, not a search bar
Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

What We're Looking For
- Experience working inside a VC firm's talent or platform team, OR strong existing relationships with VC firms from another business (for example, legal, finance, or HR services for startups).
- A strong network in the startup and venture capital world.
- Comfort working without a fixed playbook. Part of this job is building new relationships from scratch.
- Strong people skills. You'll talk with VC partners, startup founders, and our own recruiters.
- Someone who plays the long game. Big partnerships take months to build, not days.
