Based in the heart of Leamington Spa, Pixel Toys have spent over a decade pushing the capabilities of mobile gaming. We have developed multiple award-winning titles, including: Warhammer 40,000: Freeblade, Warhammer Age of Sigmar: Realm War; and we’re now excited to be exclusively working on a new game, unlike ANYTHING we’ve done previously!

As a forward-thinking and innovative studio, we are always looking for new technologies and techniques to develop and use in our games and make them even more engaging experiences for our customers.

We are excited to continue to grow our team and are always on the lookout for highly talented and motivated individuals, who are passionate about gaming and excited to join us on our ambitious journey!

The Role

We are now seeking a Release Manager / Technical Producer to act as the primary 'air traffic controller' for our live-service game releases.

Operating at the vital intersection of engineering, QA, and production, you will bridge discipline gaps to visualize, plan, and execute the delivery of content, data, code, and client builds across all server environments. You will maintain a granular understanding of every upcoming feature, ensuring deliverables align strictly with scope locks and design specifications. Working closely with Engineering, you will monitor build health, oversee pre-release validation, and keep deployment branches consistently stable to support our ongoing release cadence.

Your strategic planning skills will shine as you partner with Production to map out updates, patches, hotfixes, and live ops events into a clear, living release calendar. You will shepherd feature workflows smoothly through every stage, guiding them from initial scope lock through QA sign-offs, platform submission, and post-release care. Clear, transparent communication is at the heart of this role, and you will deliver daily updates on release status, build dependencies, and schedule adjustments to keep stakeholders across the wider game team aligned and informed.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

When technical blockers or risks emerge, you will proactively identify them before key milestones, contributing thoughtfully to critical go/no-go deployment decisions. Should live issues arise, you will coordinate calm, efficient incident response, hotfixes, or rollback strategies to minimize player impact, ensuring our community enjoys a reliable and seamless gaming experience.

About You

You bring a strong background in release management, deployment management, or technical project management within live-service mobile games, ideally with focus on the free-to-play (F2P) space.
