Release Manager
IOI is working on three exciting game projects: 007 First Light, a brand-new James Bond video game featuring an entirely original Bond story, and Project Fantasy, an ambitious new IP for console and PC that aims to revolutionise the online fantasy RPG genre, and of course our beloved Hitman - World of Assassination.
As Release Manager, you will play a key role in ensuring the successful deployment of projects here at IOI. Based in either our Brighton or Barcelona studio, this role is responsible for managing release operations across a variety of platforms and collaborating closely with internal teams and external partners alike. It’s a unique opportunity to contribute to high-profile games and help shape the way IOI delivers exceptional experiences to players worldwide.
What you will do:
- Own and manage the end-to-end release process across both internally developed games and externally developed titles we publish.
- Coordinate cross-functional teams including QA, Production, Engineering, and Publishing to ensure smooth and timely delivery of game updates, patches, and full releases.
- Guide and execute the submission process across multiple platforms (PlayStation, Xbox, Steam, Nintendo, etc.), ensuring compliance with TRC/XR and other certification requirements.
- Serve as a key point of contact with First Party platform representatives, maintaining daily operational communication and ensuring alignment with their backend systems and requirements.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders and external studios to align on release models, schedules, and store strategies, balancing technical limitations and business priorities.
- Support store setup, promotional planning, and publishing operations for all titles, leveraging your knowledge of platform-specific processes and tools.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
