About The Role
Team V1 Technology Engineering - Platform Engineering
Working Pattern - Hybrid 2 days per week in the Vitality Bournemouth or London Office. Full time hours per week.

What this role is all about:
We're looking for an inspiring Release Train Engineer who combines deep expertise in scaled agile practices with a passion for developing people and driving relentless improvement. In this role, you'll lead Product Delivery Stream (PDS) scaled agile events, coach leaders and teams on SAFe agile ways of working and optimise the flow of value to customers. You'll play a key role in enabling the LACE (Lean-Agile Centre of Excellence) transformation roadmap ensuring improvements are effectively cascaded to your PDS and teams.
Key Actions
- Facilitate PI Planning: Organise and lead PI Planning events, ensuring teams and stakeholders are aligned on objectives, priorities and dependencies for the upcoming planning interval.
- Support PI Execution: Monitor progress against PI objectives, help resolve Product Delivery Stream impediments, support risk management and stakeholder engagement, and facilitate key scaled agile events including PDS Syncs and System Demos.
- Coach the Product Delivery Stream: Lead and mentor Scrum Masters while coaching leaders and teams, fostering collaboration, capability development and agile maturity across the PDS.
- Optimise Delivery Flow: Drive improvements in the flow of value across the PDS by removing bottlenecks, limiting work in progress and streamlining processes to maximise delivery outcomes.
- Drive Continuous Improvement: Foster a culture of learning and improvement through Inspect and Adapt sessions, encouraging experimentation and the adoption of more effective ways of working.
- Support Agile Transformation: Contribute to the agile transformation roadmap by embedding new practices, cascading changes across the PDS and providing feedback to support successful implementation and ongoing improvement.

What do you need to thrive?
- SAFe RTE and Leading SAFe accreditation
- 2+ years' experience as a Release Train Engineer within a software delivery environment
- Experience working with Scrum and scaled agile frameworks (SAFe)
- Proven people leadership and coaching experience
- Experience facilitating PI Planning and other scaled agile events
- Strong stakeholder management and cross-functional collaboration skills
- Experience driving continuous improvement and agile transformation initiatives
