Reliability Engineer

North East - Field Based

From £37,000 to £41,000

Who We Are In a Nutshell

At British Engineering Services Group, we pride ourselves on being the leading end-to-end risk management solutions provider in the UK and Ireland. That means it’s our job to help keep our customers’ assets legally compliant, operational, and, above all else, safe. We’re able to achieve this with a team of only the very best, most talented people.

With our specialist asset reliability services, we are an independent provider of Condition Monitoring Services, Products, and Training to UK and international clients. With over 40 Reliability Engineers across the UK, we help customers improve equipment reliability and reduce downtime through vibration analysis, thermography, lubrication management, ultrasound inspections, laser alignment, and in-situ fan balancing.

What will you be doing?

We are looking for a Reliability Engineer to join our Asset Reliability team. The successful candidate will work closely with customers, Operations, and fellow Reliability Engineers, to collect, analyse, and interpret condition monitoring data, diagnose developing machinery faults, and provide practical maintenance recommendations that help customers improve equipment reliability and reduce unplanned downtime.

This role would suit an engineer with experience in condition monitoring, vibration analysis, or predictive maintenance who is looking to further develop their technical knowledge, qualifications, and career within reliability engineering.

For this role, you will need to be located in the North East, covering Durham, Newcastle, Teesside, and South Scotland areas. This is a hybrid role, combining customer site visits with home-based data analysis, diagnostic reporting, route management, and customer support activities.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
