We have an opportunity for a Reliability Engineer to join our Engineering Team on our Sheffield site as part of the Finsbury Food Group.

Finsbury Food Group is a leading specialty bakery manufacturer. We constantly raise quality and efficiency standards and build long-term relationships within the food service channel. Finsbury offer a wide range of bakery products and are a leading frozen supplier in the Foodservice sector.

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a dynamic, fast-paced manufacturing environment where quality, efficiency, and continuous improvement are at the heart of everything we do.

This is what you’ll actually do!

  • You’ll work as an active part of a skilled cross-functional planned maintenance team, carrying out planned maintenance activities, repairs, and improvements across production plant, equipment, and buildings. Your work will play an important role in maintaining the safety, reliability, and efficiency of the production process.
  • You’ll continuously develop your knowledge of the engineering requirements of bakery processes, systems, and machinery, using this knowledge to support reliable and efficient production. You’ll ensure planned maintenance work is completed to strict schedules while identifying opportunities to improve equipment reliability and reduce waste.
  • A key part of your role will be carrying out a range of inspection processes, including composite panel, emergency lighting, ACM, flour sifter, flour line magnet, and auto lubricator inspections. You’ll ensure inspections are completed accurately and that the appropriate documentation is maintained.
  • You’ll also carry out identified general building maintenance repairs and improvements and proactively support the management of baking trays and tins across the site. You’ll help maintain effective pest proofing by ensuring doors, entrances, and exits are maintained to the required standard.
  • You’ll use Mainsaver CMMS to accurately track maintenance and asset management activities, ensuring work is recorded correctly. You’ll also ensure materials and parts are booked out appropriately and that reorder levels are maintained to support effective maintenance activity.
  • Safety, Food Safety, and Hygiene will always be a priority. You’ll follow good working practices and actively contribute to a culture of continuous improvement, constantly looking for opportunities to improve efficiency, equipment reliability, and ways of working.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
