We are currently seeking a Fitter to be based at our home county's area this will include travel to our other five sites in the area.

Key Responsibilities
- Responsible for the production of ready-mix concrete & screeds in the area at multiple ready-mix concrete plants using a computerised batching system along with supervising the day-to-day safe and efficient running of the plant.
- Carry out daily checks of all safety critical equipment in line with company standards.
- Operate loading shovels to re-stock storage bins and stockpile aggregate deliveries.
- Ensure focused, proactive communication of any potential near miss / hazards within the work area to the Company's Health & Safety Department and Line Management.
- Ensure production is in line with customer specification and required technical standards.
- Manage all constituent material stocks and reorder as required from the various suppliers.
- Daily checks carried out and recorded as required by the environmental permits.
- Manage and control truck mixer/tipper/cement tanker drivers operating within the plant.
- Supervision of driver fleet on site.
- Supervise and manage external contractors in line with company standards.
- Maintain high standards of site housekeeping and some daily preventative maintenance activities.
- Provide support to the production manager and district manager where possible.

Skills, Knowledge & Expertise
- General mechanical / electrical understanding of machinery equipment within the concrete plant and be able to identify faults and report accordingly.
- Flexible, proactive, and versatile approach to work.
- Energetic “hands on” approach and the ability to anticipate problems and consider a solution and the ability to negotiate and work collaboratively with colleagues on both a formal and informal level.
- Ideal for a highly motivated person with experience of plant operations.
