Relief Kaiako (Teacher) Opportunities
Casual Basis
Location: Can be based in Christchurch, Dunedin, Invercargill, or Queenstown
We are recruiting on an ongoing basis for Relief Teachers for all subjects.

Te Aho o Te Kura Pounamu (Te Kura) is New Zealand's largest school with a roll of up to 24,000 ākonga (students) at any point of time. We provide personalised and authentic learning programmes through distance education from early childhood to NCEA Level 3, including to young adult and adult learners.

Mō tēnei tūranga mahi | About this position:
We invite applications from NZ Registered Teachers (Kaiako) keen to work as a Relief Teacher in one of our Southern Regional Offices on an as required basis. In this role, you'll provide cover for our teaching staff (Kaiako) and receive supported training ahead of your first Relief Teaching Day.
We are currently seeking Relief Teachers across all levels of the NZ Curriculum, and in particular are keen to hear from Kaiako with specialisations in the following subjects:
- NCEA level English
- NCEA level Maths
- Te Reo
- Mathematics and Statistics
- Mathematics
- Science
- Biology
- Digital Technology
- Primary/Year 7-10
- Learning Support
