The Position
Exciting opportunities have arisen for motivated individuals to join Branches of the Orcades Practice to provide relief cover. The Practice Administrator plays a key role, undertaking duties which include using the clinical system for patient administration, taking calls, and providing a welcoming environment.
The Practice Administrator will be required to perform a wide range of administrative tasks with minimum supervision while ensuring workload is processed efficiently and effectively. This post involves dealing with sensitive information, therefore confidentiality is a key element of this role.

The Candidate
Applications are sought from individuals who are qualified to SVQ III or equivalent administrative experience. You must have the ability to work independently, flexibly, and have excellent communication skills and live on the specified island. Accommodation is not provided by NHS Orkney.

It is a condition of this employment that you must live and remain a resident within the UK for the post in which you will be employed with NHS Orkney.
Benefits And Salary

The salary for this post is Band 3 and if residing on Orkney, you’ll also receive a Distant Islands Allowance of £1,719 pro rata per annum, adding extra value to your rewarding career with us.
