Are you a confident, reliable and adaptable security professional looking for a role with real variety and responsibility?
We're looking for a Relief Security Officer to provide absence cover across a number of sites, including RAF Scampton, Gousto Food Packaging Site and the National Grid Training Site. You'll support operational requirements by covering holidays, sickness and short-notice absences, ensuring our sites remain secure and fully supported.
This is a key position within the team where your flexibility, professionalism and ability to adapt quickly will make a real difference every day.

About The Role
As a Relief Security Officer, you'll provide a professional and visible security presence across a range of sites, helping to protect people, property and assets while maintaining the highest standards of service.
You'll be trusted to step into different environments at short notice, supporting sites during periods of absence and ensuring all security operations continue to run smoothly. You'll respond confidently to incidents and ensure all site procedures and Assignment Instructions are followed at all times.
This role offers genuine variety, making it ideal for someone who enjoys staying active, adaptable and engaged.
What We're Looking For
Essential
- Valid SIA Licence
- Full UK driving licence
- Access to your own vehicle
- Flexibility to work days, nights and weekends
- Previous security experience
- Professional, calm and confident approach
- Strong communication and customer service skills
You'll also need a positive attitude towards ongoing training, development and maintaining licence renewals.

What You'll Be Doing
- Delivering professional security services across RAF Scampton, Gousto and the National Grid Training Site
- Providing holiday, sickness and short-notice absence cover where required
- Maintaining a safe and secure environment for staff, visitors and customers
- Responding effectively to incidents, emergencies and suspicious activity
- Carrying out patrols and monitoring for potential risks
- Completing incident reports, logbooks and check calls accurately
- Reporting Health & Safety concerns promptly
- Using security systems and technology confidently
- Remaining calm, professional and proactive under pressure
