Company Description

We’re Hiring: Relief Security Officer

📍 Location: Covering Plymouth and surrounding areas

💰 Pay: £14.00 per hour

📅 Hours: Minimum of 36 hours, plus overtime available. Days, nights, and weekends.

Job Description

Responsibilities

You’ll play a vital part in keeping people, property, and information safe. That includes:

  • Control access to the site, monitor CCTV and alarm systems, and prevent unauthorized entry.
  • Carry out regular internal and external security patrols to ensure the safety of people and premises.
  • Respond promptly to incidents, emergencies, and security breaches in line with site procedures.
  • Report and record safety hazards, security concerns, accidents, and suspicious activities.
  • Manage keys, access passes, and other site security equipment.
  • Support Health & Safety compliance by promoting safe working practices and reporting hazards or near misses.
  • Complete accurate logs, reports, and incident documentation in a timely manner.
  • Conduct stop and search procedures when required and operate radios, pagers, and security systems effectively.
  • Deliver exceptional customer service to staff, visitors, and contractors while maintaining a professional appearance.
  • Safeguard company property, assets, and information against loss, waste, and crime.
  • Assist with emergency procedures and ensure first aid equipment and safety resources are maintained.
  • Follow all Assignment Instructions, company policies, and management directives.
  • Consistently demonstrate Securitas values of Integrity, Vigilance, and Helpfulness.

Qualifications

What we’re looking for:

  • Valid SIA Licence
  • Right to work in the UK
  • Age 18+
  • Five-year checkable work history and no criminal convictions
  • Flexible availability including days, nights, weekends
  • Good communication, customer service skills, and ability to work independently or in a team
  • Valid UK driving licence and vehicle desirable
  • Previous security officer experience
  • First Aid qualification
