We’re hiring: Relief Security Officer
📍 Location: Glasgow / Ayrshire (Relief Cover) with on site parking.
💰 Pay: £13.45 per hour
📅 Hours: Minimum 36 hours per week – Days, Nights, and Weekends

About The Role
As a Relief Security Officer, you’ll provide professional and reassuring security cover across multiple client sites. Your presence will help ensure people feel safe, respected, and supported at all times.
You’ll carry out a range of duties depending on the site and shift, including patrols, access control, and customer-facing responsibilities. You’ll be trusted to work independently when required, while also being part of a wider, supportive team.
This is a role for someone who takes pride in being dependable, approachable, and alert. You’ll be an ambassador for both Securitas and our clients, representing our values through your actions every day.

Responsibilities
Job Description
You’ll play an important role in keeping people, property, and information secure. Your responsibilities will include:
- Providing a visible and professional security presence across multiple sites as required.
- Welcoming, supporting, and assisting staff, visitors, and contractors.
- Working flexibly to cover a range of shifts, including days, nights, and weekends.
- Following site procedures and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.
- Supporting emergency responses, including evacuations and searches where required.
- Remaining alert, reporting incidents accurately, and helping to prevent disruption.
- Maintaining clear and accurate records, including logs and handovers

Qualifications
What we’re looking for:
We’re looking for someone who values teamwork, takes pride in their work, and is keen to develop. You don’t need to tick every box, but the ideal candidate will have:
- A valid SIA licence.
- Flexibility to work days, nights, and weekends.
- The right to work in the UK, with a 5-year checkable employment or address history.
- Good communication skills in English, both written and spoken.
- A full UK driving licence and access to vehicle.
