💰 Pay: £13.45ph
📅 Hours: 36 hours per week average guaranteed

Relief Security Officer to provide cover in Burton on Trent and surrounding areas. This Relief Security Officer role is ideal for individuals who can adapt to different environments and are available to work a variety of shifts, including days, nights, weekends, and bank holidays, covering both planned and unplanned absences. As a Relief Security Officer, you will provide professional security support across multiple sites, ensuring a safe, secure, and welcoming environment for clients, visitors, contractors, and employees.
Responsibilities
Job Description
You’ll play a vital part in keeping people, property, and information safe. That includes:
- Welcoming and assisting staff, visitors, contractors, and employees.
- Providing a professional front-of-house security presence.
- Managing access control and visitor registration processes.
- Conducting regular site patrols, safety inspections, and security checks.
- Monitoring CCTV and alarm systems where required.
- Ensuring compliance with site regulations, policies, and procedures.
- Supporting emergency protocols, including evacuations, searches, and incident response.
- Remaining vigilant, reporting incidents, and helping to prevent disruption or security breaches.
- Completing accurate reports, incident documentation, and handover records.
- Delivering excellent customer service while maintaining the highest security standards.
This Relief Security Officer position requires individuals who can meet strict security and vetting standards while maintaining exceptional professionalism. As a Relief Security Officer, you will be expected to uphold the highest levels of security, customer service, and compliance across multiple client locations.

Qualifications
What we’re looking for:
We’re looking for someone who sees a different world—someone who values teamwork, shows initiative, and wants to grow. Ideally, you’ll have:
- A valid SIA licence.
- Flexibility to work days, nights, and weekends as a Relief Security Officer.
- The right to work in the UK, with a 5-year checkable history.
- British nationality and UK residency for the past 5 years (due to site requirements).
- Strong communication skills in English—both written and spoken.
Essential Security Clearance Requirements
Willing to travel to sites near Derby, Burton, Coalville, Lichfield, Cannock and surrounding areas
Due to the nature of the sites, applicants must:
- Be a UK Passport holder.
- Be able to demonstrate 5 years of continuous UK residency.
- Be willing and eligible to undergo BPSS (Baseline Personnel Security Standard) screening.
- Be willing and eligible to obtain Security Clearance (SC).
