We’re Hiring: Relief Security Officer
Location: Leicestershire
Pay: ÂŁ13.45 per hour
Hours: Various 12-hour shifts, averaging 36 hours per week
Grade: 3.2 Relief Based
To provide professional Relief Security Officer services across a variety of sites within a defined geographical area as required. As a Relief Security Officer, you will be responsible for protecting the customer's employees, property, and other assets in line with all relevant Assignment Instructions and site-specific requirements. The Relief Security Officer will deliver the highest standards of customer service while promoting Securitas' core values of Integrity, Vigilance, and Helpfulness.
Job Description
Responsibilities
You’ll play a vital part in keeping people, property, and information safe. That includes:
- Protect property, premises, and assets.
- Conduct site patrols, access control, and alarm monitoring.
- Respond to incidents and emergencies promptly.
- Complete reports and maintain accurate records.
- Deliver excellent customer service and professional standards.
- Support loss prevention and security operations.
- Carry out searches and investigations when required.
- Ensure compliance with site procedures and health & safety requirements.
- Maintain effective communication with colleagues, customers, and management.
- Complete all required paperwork and handovers accurately.

Qualifications
We’re looking for someone who sees a different world—someone who values teamwork, shows initiative, and wants to grow. Ideally, you’ll have:
- A valid SIA licence.
- Previous security experience in a customer-focused environment.
- A reliable and professional approach, with excellent attendance and timekeeping.
- Own transport and the ability to travel to different locations as required.
- Flexibility to work days, nights, weekends, and public holidays when needed.
- The right to work in the UK, with a 5-year checkable employment history.
- Strong communication skills in English, both written and spoken.
- A proactive attitude, strong attention to detail, and the ability to remain calm under pressure.
- A commitment to delivering outstanding customer service while maintaining a safe and secure environment.
