A Casual Role with Serious Impact

Relief Support Workers: The Relationship Builders

Relief Support Workers are a valued source of support to our teams and the people we support. As natural relationship-builders and problem-solvers, you thrive on bringing out the best in others and making a meaningful difference with your time.

Who would be suited to the Relief Support Worker role?

Quite simply; all kinds of people. We believe everyone has a unique story or skill that can spark a connection.

  • The Purpose-Seeker: Maybe you’re retired or searching for a new direction and a sense of purpose.
  • The Juggler: Parents or grandparents with a few hours to give between school drop-offs and pick-ups.
  • The Adventurer: People with experiences, stories, or interests to share—from hobbies to life lessons.
  • The Student: Those in training or education looking for novel experiences and a different perspective for a future career goal.
  • The Kind Soul: Someone with a natural affinity for others, even if you’ve never spent time with someone with a disability before.

What will a typical day look like?

People with learning disabilities and autism are as individual as the rest of us. So, the ‘no such thing as a typical day’ cliché stands. Your time with us will vary depending on the needs, interests, and goals of each person you are assigned to support.

The majority of people we support are healthy adults with no physical disabilities. Many are highly active or ‘outdoorsy’ with boundless energy—quite happy on a climbing wall, a paddle board, or a hiking trail. Others may be more at home in their favourite cafe, a leisure centre pool, or strolling around a boating lake.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

The Green Light Difference: A minority may be reclusive or socially isolated, needing skilled support provided gradually. Easy wins for some will be hard-earned wins for others. A successful day looks different for everyone.
