Senior Construction Manager

Location: Grand Cayman, Cayman Islands

Salary: $97,000 to $128,000 per year, tax free

Employment: Permanent, full time

Relocation: Permanent relocation from the UK required

The Opportunity

We are working with an established residential and commercial contractor in the Cayman Islands seeking an experienced Senior Construction Manager.

Based permanently in Grand Cayman, you will provide strategic leadership across multiple luxury residential and commercial developments, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on programme, within budget and to the highest quality standards.

This opportunity is open to experienced construction professionals currently living in the UK who are serious about relocating to the Cayman Islands.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead multiple construction projects from preconstruction through to completion and handover
  • Manage project performance across health and safety, quality, cost and programme
  • Oversee construction planning, procurement and contract administration
  • Identify project risks and implement effective mitigation strategies
  • Manage relationships with clients, consultants, subcontractors and regulatory authorities
  • Lead and develop Construction Managers, Site Foremen and wider project teams
  • Monitor budgets, programmes, variations and commercial performance
  • Provide clear project reporting to senior leadership
  • Drive accountability and continuous improvement across construction operations
  • Ensure an exceptional standard of client service throughout the project lifecycle

Requirements

  • Degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architecture or a related discipline
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience delivering complex construction projects
  • Proven experience leading multiple projects simultaneously
  • Strong residential and commercial construction experience
  • Excellent knowledge of planning, procurement, cost control and contract administration
  • Strong leadership, communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Commercially aware, technically capable and calm under pressure
  • Experience using Procore, Microsoft Project or similar construction software
  • PMP, LEED, Chartered status or an equivalent professional qualification would be advantageous
