About The Role

Join us here at Poundland & Dealz as a Remodel & Merchandising Coordinator supporting our Property Services team. You will lead the merchandising, Point of Sale (POS) and equipment moves within our stores during store development projects, including new store openings, re-site relocations, refits and any other business development and transformation opportunities. This is a very “hands-on” field role, assisting and guiding the store teams in setting up stores for excellence.

As a Remodel & Merchandising Coordinator you will coordinate both internal colleague and external agency resourcing plans for the flawless execution of merchandising stores during refits, ensuring all projects are run with Health and Safety as a priority. You will be the “go-to” for the development/completion of this project and standards in merchandising and warehouse operations for all projects, working to tight deadlines to ensure projects are managed on time and completed to the highest of standards.

The role is field based supporting stores across the United Kingdom and Ireland. Although predominately focused on the Midlands and South, some travel to the North and Ireland will be required. The position will involve frequent travel and often the requirement to stay away from home for several days per week. The role will also work a mixture of day and night shifts depending on when work is scheduled to take place. Some occasional weekend work will also be required. Travel and hotel expenses will be paid.

With autonomy and trust to make an impact from day one, you will:

  • Lead and coordinate retail colleagues and agency teams to deliver store development projects
  • Be accountable for setting up a Delivery schedule for new stores, including updating Product Control on required deliveries.
  • Ensure the visual merchandise planograms are followed and be competent using space layout plans
  • Ensure all correct pricing and point of sale using the correct equipment and processes are in place.
  • Be responsible for organizing and coordinating all equipment moves with shelving contractors and reporting any snagging as appropriate
  • Be required to complete relevant daily paperwork such as handovers and ensure all equipment has been checked and accounted for
  • Manage project stock requirements, ensuring accurate ordering and timely delivery
  • Ensure all project activity is completed in accordance with company Health & Safety policies, conducting risk assessments and escalating hazards where necessary
  • Resolve any problems as they occur and escalate any issues that cannot be resolved.
  • Support our Midlands based Re-Use Centre with sorting through equipment from store closures, assisting with equipment requirements for projects and to support our stores with any equipment needs.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
