As our new Remote Account Manager, you will be responsible for the success of our Genomics, Pathology, Clinical and Healthcare Care solutions (including NGS, PCR/qPCR, RNA/DNA, antibodies, H&E staining, automation, bioanalyzer…) in the U.K. and Ireland market, primarily with the possibility of covering or providing support to other geographic areas. You will be selling Agilent Technologies solutions including instruments, software, and related accessories through outbound and inbound sales activities via telephone, email and other digital methods.
Responsibilities
- Meet sales objectives by driving inside and online sales opportunities for specific products defined. You will provide quotas, interpret customer needs, and proactively act to meet those needs.
- Develop and maintain effective customer relations with purchasing and end user contacts within assigned territory and/or products.
- Handle your own sales funnel using your own initiative to identify business opportunities by taking a creative approach. Maintain a pipeline of opportunities to meet or exceed sales objectives. Provide accurate forecast sales and maintain CRM up to date.
- Actively generate business opportunities for growth and represent Agilent in all sales activities working with the field staff. In addition, retain and grow the existing customers.
- Work effectively with cross-functional team and internal resources.
- Solve non-routine issues and problems within field of specialization and create and maintain effective customer relationships.

Requirements
This position is entirely remote ideally based in the UK or Ireland, although other locations may be considered.
We are looking for a motivated individual with the following background:
- University degree in a Life Science field (Biology, Biochemistry, Biotechnology, Chemistry…)
- First hands-on experience with lab equipment/instruments, within a clinical, anatomical or pathology laboratory
- Experience in sales would be a strong advantage.
- Native-level English. Any other European language would be a plus.
- On a personal level, you are proactive, outgoing and customer focused. You also have excellent interpersonal and communication skills to interact with many external and internal partners. You show a real can-do attitude, resilience and you enjoy working both autonomously and as part of a team. Whilst being flexible and adaptable, you have also strong planning, organizational and time management skills.
