The Opportunity
Our client is looking for a polished Remote Closer who can convert qualified inbound demand into long-term advisory relationships. You will be the early face of a boutique middle market investment banking practice, helping business owners understand their strategic options and decide whether to move forward with a formal sell-side process.
You will manage a defined closing cycle from first meeting to signed agreement. This role calls for patience, confidence, commercial instinct, and the ability to simplify a complex process without overselling it.
What You Will Do
- Conduct structured discovery calls with owners exploring a sale, recapitalization, or liquidity event.
- Identify business drivers, personal objectives, urgency, risks, and potential barriers to engagement.
- Build a persuasive business case for professional sell-side representation. Set clear expectations regarding process, preparation, market positioning, and next steps.
- Handle objections and stakeholder concerns with sound judgment and professionalism.
- Own follow-up cadence, proposal discussions, and engagement-letter completion.
- Keep CRM data, forecasts, and opportunity stages accurate and current.
- Brief senior bankers thoroughly before transitioning newly signed clients.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
